Bergene Holm AS has the CE mark on panel, cladding and construction timber

The following lumber products have common European standards that trigger CE marking requirements from July 1, 2013:

• Strength-graded construction timber with rectangular cross-section (NS-EN 14081-1: 2005 + A1: 2011)
• Panel and cladding of solid wood (NS-EN-14915: 2006 / AC: 2007) 

Declaration of Conformity and Performance Declarations

All manufacturers must provide both declaration of conformity and performance declarations for their CE-marked products.

Implementation of the control system

Norsk Treteknisk Institutt is responsible for the CE-certification in Norway. 
The certification is done through an annual inspection that includes a review of the quality documentation, a review of the production control and registration of deviations.

Timber control 

Bergene Holm AS is a member of the Norwegian Strength Grading Inspection Scheme (Norsk trelastkontroll).

Norwegian Strength Grading Inspection Scheme is a voluntary association of timber suppliers for construction purposes, which imposes a quality control to ensure sorting of timber according to NS-INSTA 142 and NS-EN 14081-4 is carried out correctly. The scheme applies to both visual and machine sorting.
