Here you will find information about offcuts, pellets and products that are made as a result of the process of sawing and planing lumber.
About 50% of the wood in one log is sawn and made into lumber while the other 50 percent is what we define as byproducts. That can be everything from different types of bark to wood chips and pellets.
Byproducts such as bark, wood chips and sawdust are either used in internal energy production or sold to other energy or industrial purposes.
We use the by-products for our own heating (bioenergy) or to sell as a fuel supply in the form of pellets, or for paper and sheet production.
The sale of by-products is an important part of our overall turnover. We put great effort in to utilising “the whole log”.
