Our Unique Exterior Collections
In addition to producing all the standard claddings on the market, we have also developed three unique facade collections. What they all have in common is that they are low-maintenance. Get to know them better here.
Solid and timeless
NORD is for those seeking a rugged facade that can withstand harsh conditions and looks like it has weathered many winter storms. With its naturally weathered appearance, where the wood's patina and texture are already brought out, the NORD collection will give houses, cabins, and larger facades a solid and timeless expression. NORD spruce cladding is protected on all four sides with metal-free impregnation and requires no further treatment. The gray pigmentation ensures that the wood’s beautiful and natural graying occurs while keeping the timber protected.
- Environmentally friendly impregnation
- Minimal maintenance
- Durable four-sided treatment
- Norwegian-made and locally sourced
Rugged Wood for Rugged Conditions
NORD is produced from locally sourced Norwegian spruce. The cladding is impregnated with an organic, highly concentrated rot-resistant agent, which penetrates 1-3 mm into the boards. The treatment includes color pigments and reinforcements that remain on the outer surface of the cladding. The boards are delivered with a finely grooved front side, contributing to an even texture and a uniform, translucent gray appearance. When installed correctly, NORD spruce cladding will last exceptionally well over time.
Well-Dressed for All Weather
In Norway, we are brought up to dress according to the weather, whether we live in areas with heavy rainfall, wind, sun, or cold. In the same way, we must dress our houses, cabins, and apartments by ensuring the building has a facade that protects well against both light drizzle and strong storms.
Cladding for Every Style
We don’t just dress to avoid freezing, overheating or getting wet. We also choose outerwear that best suits our size and shape, and perhaps most importantly, defines our style. Similarly, we should dress our homes by choosing profiles, treatments, and colors that match the building's style, size, and the type of weather it will face. In the TRYR facade collection, you'll find tough and trendy solid wood claddings that ensure your building is well-dressed in all weather conditions. The cladding comes in several profiles and seven different colors:
- Sunny Brown (Solgul)
- Cloudy Gray (Skygrå)
- Smokey Brown (Røykbrun)
- Sunny Yellow (Solgul)
- Evening Red (Aftenrød)
- Misty Green (Tåkegrønn)
- Stormy Black (Stormsort)
Climate and Environment
Everyone knows that the climate and weather are changing. We notice it a little more each year—more extreme weather, heavier rain, stronger winds, hotter, colder, more floods, more droughts. We certainly cannot control the weather, but we will do our part to ensure that the changes are less human-made. At Bergene Holm, we work daily on small and large adjustments that contribute to making the production of our wood products as climate-friendly as possible.
Environmentally Certified
Building with wood has a positive impact on the climate. The TRYR treatment achieves impregnation class NTR Pine and is in use class UC3 according to NS-EN 335.
Locally Sourced and Sustainable
TRYR cladding is produced from environmentally certified forests. The collection is manufactured at our Norwegian sawmills, planing mills, and surface treatment lines.
About the Cladding
The ÆDEL cladding collection features a series of beautiful stain colors that will give houses, cabins, and apartment buildings a stunning, transparent, and natural appearance right from installation. The ÆDEL cladding collection is treated with a two-step transparent staining system. The first coat provides the cladding with good rot protection and includes added pigment. A protective top coat with additional pigment is then applied. This system ensures a cladding with beautiful color and long maintenance intervals.
Norwegian-Made and -Sourced Cladding
ÆDEL is made from spruce logs sourced from local forests near our sawmill and harvested according to the strictest environmental standards.
- All our timber must be 100% environmentally certified
- The timber must be traceable and sourced as locally as possible
- We utilize the entire log, including parts not used for cladding
